When I went out on a stag night with the guys I went kilted usually I would go kilted regardless. I would never go again kilted to a strip club I had a very bad experinece. Yes you a the most popular person there and all the attention is on you, the ladies are swooning over to meet that guy in a kilt. The thing that was awful was all the kilt lifting by the male patrons who were jealous because of the lack of attenion or just jerks the comments were fairly idiotic. Then the end of the night four of the male patrons drunk and silly thought it was a good idea to want to pick a fight with the guy in a kilt. Thank goodness for friends because these guys were monsters and I'm a kiltmaker not a fighter. One good thing did come of this a male stripper did like my kilt and asked where I got it from I explained I made it and the next day he orderd on from me.
All I can say is go kilted if you want" be mindful" of the risks

The only time I went kilted to such a club, I did get a private dance from a young lady. I knew her pretty well, so I did get some feedback from her. It made her a little uncomfortable, because she didn't know how to deal with it. She did like being able to run her hands up the bare legs farther than she could with someone in shorts (so did I ). To tell the truth, I was a bit worried the kilt would ride up too high and I would risk getting removed from the premises (not too likely, if it was an accident as I did know the people there, and I do behave). I did get goosed a few times from the other ladies I knew there.
As long as it's a reasonably nice place and you behave yourself, it will go over fine.

this begs the question: how, pray tell, did you come to know so many members of staff at a strip club so well, my good man??? inquiring minds want to know...

I will say this. While I did have a hell of a time, I have to agree with gman that all you get is....hmmm...a lifted sporran and a lack of money.

Kilts should be able to go anywhere pants can go. Go, enjoy.
Before I quit wearing pants I noticed that after I'd been wearing kilts for a while and put on a pair of pants I felt more exposed in public.
To me, kilts seem like the more modest garment since they cover so much.
Pants seem to leave me exposed more.
We men, not being raised in skirts and dresses like women are just aren't used to the opening at the bottom of kilts and seem to fear some sort of exposure from it. But how often have we ever seen a woman exposed in a skirt or a dress. It just doesn't happen.
Once we get used to kilts they are a much more modest garment than pants.
