I am stuck in Germany for another 9 months or so. On the upside, I'm in Bavaria where there are lots of fests and lots of good German beer. I'm originally from TN and the Army has kept me in KS when not overseas.
We've been to Scotland once and loved it. Saw lots of kilts in Edinburgh and watched them shoot a movie at Stirling castle. If the exchange rate wasn't such a killer it would be a regular stop for us. Maybe some day. Looking forward to getting a kilt and really styling.

Might be quite a transition from breechcloth to a kilt...whole lot more fabric there...although I am sure you will get a far better female response.

Welcome!
Germany's a great place, I was stationed at Ray Barracks, Friedberg(Hessen)
with the 1st Armored Division, HHC 1-37 AR. Which, incidently, is where
Elvis was stationed during his stay.
Enjoy

Welcome and don't be surprised that after you buy your first kilt that numbers 2 and 3 don't follow soon afterward. And thanks for your service - there are still a lot of people here in the states that appreciate what you all do for us. God Bless you and all of your friends.

Did time in Germany
I've spent much time in Germany courtesy of Uncle Sam. It’s a great place and Bavaria is wonderful to be in. I imagine you’ll find you can wear a kilt there too. Don’t wait ‘til you return to the US.

Welcome from Sunnyvale! Wife and I spent a bit of time in Austria, Bavaria and Germany. Loved the beer and sausages.
There's an authentic Bavarian/Austrian Restaurant and Bar here in Sunnyvale. If you ever get out this way Sherri and I will treat you to dinner and some real German brew.
Bis später.
