Unless you're worried about sudden gale force gusts of wind indoors, I wouldn't be worried about it. The kilt is appropriate just about anywhere minus some places where it can be a safety concern (i.e. machine shops) or un-hygenic (hospital workers).

I went once to the local strip club kilted. No problems at all. Actually it was very pleasant because all the dancer girls came to sit to my table and ask questions and we had a very nice chat. Power of the kilt, wherever you go

That being said by Magnus, I'd like to add that the majority of big men usually have a heart the size of their bodies and since they generally have nothing to prove they are mostly gentle giants and most wouldn't want to cause anyone any trouble in the first place.

I've noticed that too about big guys. It's a good thing that God has granted most of them hearts of such a good nature.

For some reason that made me think of a dear friend of mine. His name was Glen Keys and he was a very big guy -- both tall & wide. Yet he was such a gentle soul. I loved him dearly as my friend. Sadly, a brain tumor took him from us long before he had done all the good for this world that his soul desired. Not only did he never cause trouble, but he always worked his hardest to help everyone around him. If you don't mind, raise a flask with me to remember him. It's been over 5 years and I still miss him just as much today as the day he left.
