First off, it was Guy's to give away.
Ewan is one of us... he wears kilts out regularly, not just for special occasions. At least now, the kilt will be worn and appreciated, as intended.
Thumbs up to Guy for giving his kilt a home where it will be more than just a trinket or novelty.

Its a nice change to see a story about a wife getting mad at her husband getting rid of a kilt.

Ditto... my thoughts exactly. How many men on this board have wives/girlfriends/significant others who HATE the fact that we want to wear kilts and would LOVE us to give it away? I may not be a big fan of her music, but 'Good on her' for making him keep the kilt!

My thoughts exactly. I've never seen Guy wearing a cilt around, where as I've seen many pics of Ewan wearing his quite regularly.

On the other hand, how many married men would be happy to hear that their wife had given away her wedding dress to anyone but a close relative, for their wedding? I know most men just rent their own wedding outfit, so the issue won't come up often, but if a guy can attach so much sentimental value to a dress, why can't a woman attach the same value to her husbands outfit - especially if it was custom made for the wedding, which I am assuming this was?
