    The way I heard it is that because calves do get so much daily use, you really have to work extra hard to work them enough to develop them, that is make them grow. So you really have to hit them hard at the gym or like Andrew said, walk a couple thousand miles. Like I said, I've never had that problem, mine are big to begin with.

    When gentlemen wore britches and silk stockings skinny fellows were not averse to adding a bit of padding so they could show a good leg.

    Usually a long thin pad was bandaged in place under the stockings, but sometimes a coarser sock had the pad sewn into it. The bandage method was the more secure. Sometimes the under sock was twisted around by accident and the padding was displaced, with amusing results for onlookers.

    ai'll never need to pad my calfs (massive they are) but ai see nay problem if somwan wants tae build theirs oop... similar tae breast implants ai guess....
