Just back from services, soon to head to a mid-afternoon family get-together....

and you BET I'm wearing my very own sewn-by-me kilt. My lady's mother is going to freak, that I did this.

    Sadly, no on two accounts:

One, Easter/Pascha for Orthodox Chrisitians this year is next week,

Two, I'll be in a cassock and on the job. The boys will be representing me, though, in their new PC jackets (thanks to Mom).

I'll post pics if and when I get them, but don't look for them before April 24th.

Happy Easter, and of course we are kilted! Took the girls to the movies this afternoon (Ice Age 2) and had a nice time. Went a little more formal since the girls were all dressed up in their Easter best. I wore my heather gray UK mocker, cream pullovr long sleeve shirt, and cream hose with black shoes and belt. The cream hose do add a bit of formality.

This Easter weekend I've not been feeling too well (I'm getting a lot of this with my current medication) and so decided at the outset not to go anywhere or see anyone. However, on Sunday morning my step-sister called to insist that I joined her and her family for lunch at their home an hour's drive away. She was very persuasive (and besides is an excellent cook!!) so I gave in all too quickly and forced myself to make the drive.

I wore my "X Marks the Scot" kilt from Geoffrey (Tailor), with a navy blue business shirt, my blue hose with yellow patterned tops, navy/yellow sweater, black leather accessories and a sgian dubh. There were no comments at all - OK they know I am kilted every day - except from my step-neice (aged 27) who is a keen supporter of Portsmouth (Pompey) Football Club: as soon as she saw the kilt she excitedly named it 'The Pompey Tartan'. Apparently the football club's colours are basically two blues with a little yellow and white! I told her they could not have it!!!

Immediately after lunch, still feeling unwell and a little unsociable, I made my excuses, drove home again and shut the door on the world. I do not expect to open it again until Tuesday.

Oh, how I hate the side effects of these tablets. They are changing my personality!!

Easter with the family while Kilted of course. Yellow shirt to go with my Hunting Stewart and green flashes. After eating went for the traditional family event of kite flying in the park. The dogs seemed to get more attention than the Kilt.
