I like the outfit as wekk, but personally it does feel a bit incomplete without a sporran and pin. But that's just me. I love to accessorize!

I think you look great. That's an excellent tartan. And besides, how can a man with a cane not look good. That's one of the few things I like about being handicapped (aside from getting the good parking spaces). I love my cans. Not only do they help me move around, but they make me look good. Nopadon actually got upset with me a week ago for buying yet another cane!

Hats off to you for a well coordinated outfit.

A very tidy look Macsim.Nice and understated, and awesome to find matching shirt with the hose. Is that the Irish Fitzsimmons? And is it by county or name?
I own a county Westmeath as that where my Fitzsimons (one M) ancestors hale from.

    Ozmeath,

Yes, it is the Irish Fitzsimmons and if you're wondering if it's a named tartan, it is. The tartan was recorded in the Scottish Tartans Authority's International Tartan Index on December 20, 2005. Go here to see it online (the CAD-generated .gif at the site is way off in color but that's okay).

The Fitzsimmons tartan is available for wear by anyone of Irish birth or descent bearing or bearing relation to the following surnames (or variants):

Fitzsimmons, Simmons, Fitzsimons, Simons and MacSimoin.

However, anyone wishing to wear the Fitzsimmons Tartan may certainly do so.

Well that certainly is music to my ears, a peaches and cream lass to my eyes and a feirce blow to my bank account. Looks like I've got an official traditional to look forward to. I'm just glad it's such a fine looking tartan. Thanks for the enlightening post MacSimoin and I'll send you the bill!
BTW how dare the clergy have a go at one of our proud members! Have you seen some of the gear they get into?! They should know better.

I'm glad you like the tartan. FYI, Matt Newsome made the kilt (5-yards, knife-pleated/to stripe); he could arrange getting the material and making a kilt like this one if you're interested...just email him.
