Advice on belts
A couple of the chaps, responding to a recent pic, suggested a plain buckle belt, 2 inch wide. Any advice on where to get a reasonable one?
Thanks

hit the Kilt Store link at the top of the page. They have some good ones.
Please don't make the mistake of wearing a cowboy or western-style belt buckle.

Amerikilt sells a nice 2-inch wide, black or brown, kilt belt for only $35.

I just bought a 2 inch belt from Dangerous Threads off ebay. I got it for $25. It's a great belt, but be careful they measure the belts weird. I had to send the first one back and order a larger one.

Why not?
Why not wear a cowboy buckle? I'll bet there were no chrome belt buckles before the '45. So why is that ok but a cowboy buckle which is equally farbe?

I'm with Bill, best deal on belts is through AmeriKilts, they have 2 1/4" wide plain buckle, black and brown. Top value for the price and quality leather.

I agree. I don't see anything wrong with a western style buckle, so long as it's not overly large. Keep it about the size of a standard kilt belt buckle and you should be okay.

I would think adding a few "non-traditional" buckles to the collection would add to the fun, and to help increase outfit options.

I'm with Bill and Ron on this. I have the black one and love it. I should go ahead a purchase the brown as well.
