I would prefer rifle, bears run over 60kph and if you take your shot with a revolver from within good range to fire one (around 25m) then you only have one chance... Better take the shot earlier with rifle

Yep. I'd go with a .458 Winchester Model 70 Safari Express. It's an elephant gun. Bears are big.
