Help a friend, and me?
Hey friends,
I have a friend whose son wants a kilt.
Would you be willing to leave a comment on her blog? Please be kind and tasteful, she is a smart, kind Christian woman, and her son is my son's best friend. We took him to a Tartan Day celebration, and he's sold on it.
GO here: http://kizmet-42.livejournal.com/
And thanks.

Sooo.. the point is to help her to glom on to the idea of her son wearing a kilt or to buy one for her son?

Well, I sent her a link to the e-bay black watch kilts that were tested here and approved, and I hope that helps her to decide!
¡Salud!

I too sent a reply, and also noticed that she joined the forum if I am not mistaken.

I'm not opposed to the idea, although his father would rather he spent his money on something else. I'm more concerned that he's going to hit up his grandparents for the money. That isn't exactly how I'd like him to raise the funds.
Yes, I joined, if only to come and say thank you to all you fine men who have graced my journal. Prester John is a very persuasive man to get you all to come over.

Not really. We'd just rather do kilt-related stuff than work.

What tartan does he want, Kizmet?
It's axiomatic that we appreciate a thing more if we work for it. But gifts are so nice to receive.
Perhaps the lad could paint your house for a kilt and sporran?

Kizmet,
How about telling your son to join, if he hasn't already? We are a great support system.

Such sadness, we have vinyl siding, so the house painting is out.
We do have trees and logs to deal with, however.
Right now, he's in school and already on the computer too much. I'll hold off on introducing him here until after the school year ends.
