Jack White Kilted in new issue of Rolling Stone
Issue 998, April 20, 2006 page 28 in the Random Notes section is a large pic of some famous guy named Jack White playing his guitar for a band called the Raconteurs at a show in Scotland. He's wearing a tartan kilt, kilt pin, flashes, kilthose, gillie brogues. Article says he has Scottish blood.
And, he says, "I've been putting off wearing a kilt way too long."
Well, yeah....

It's never to late to wear a kilt.

Nope, just the local library for that issue of Rolling Stone.

dunno if this is the right guy/pic but CLICK HERE to see a pic of a Jack White in a fairly decent kilted collection.
I had posted the pic IN the thread but it was too damned big for its own good so the link will have to suffice - sorry
ITS A KILT, G** D*** IT!

Already gave away my copy of that issue to the waiting room at Hopi Healthcare, but that seems like the pic I remember. Thought his motivation to honor his Scottish blood was noble.

RiverKilt,
Jack White is more famous in the States for his band The White Stripes. They have 4 or 5 Albums and won a grammy in 2003 as Best Alternative Band. He formed it with his then wife, Meg. They have since divorced but keep the band together. The band he was with in the Rolling Stone picture is a side project with some friends. The White Stripes tour the world but have shown up on SNL, Conan and Letterman as musical guests at various times. Give them a listen - you might like them. BTW, I've never seen him kilted with the White Stripes. They always wear red and white clothes, sometimes with a little black.

Jack White also made news a couple of years ago by teaming up with Country Legend Loretta Lynn for her album.

Thanks ckelly,
Nice to know more about the young man. His head seems in the right place wanting to wear a kilt to honor his heritage.
If you ever wanna know more about Perry Como, The Kingston Trio, or The Ventures....let me know.
