Greetings!
Hullo to everyone here,
I have travelled from the Braveheart boards to here where it seems everyone has decided to settle. My name is James and I was born in Kilmarnock, Scotland and after a few years moved to Plymouth. I own only two kilts as of present, one that I wear for special occasions and one that I used to wear a lot but stopped wearing.
Just thought I'd say hullo to everyone!
Yours in kilt
James
P.S.
Where could a get a decent sized avatar of my clan tartan that I will actually be allowed to put as my avatar...most so far are too large.

Welcome!
Depending on your computer, you should be able to grab a swatch from any website that shows your tartan, resize the image, and upload it as your avatar image.

Welcome, even if you don't wear your kilt a lot. Now though, you can, because you will see all of us talking about our kilts, and you won't have anything to post. Bring back the freedom and wear your kilt more often, or every day if you can.
DALE.

Hi James,
This is Rob (from Bravehearts). To get an avatar suitable for use here, you will have to reduce it in size using almost any photo editing program. My avatar was obtained by scanning the apron of my kilt on a flatbed scanner and then editing the image.
Incidentally, if you are 5ft 11ins tall and a martial arts enthusiast, I don't think you will have many students laughing at you when you wear your kilt to the school prom. One thing I forgot to mention on the Bravehearts board was that about a year ago, I saw a TV documentary about the Plymouth police dealing with drunken behaviour outside some Plymouth night clubs. In one of the scenes showing an orderly queue outside a night club, there was a guy wearing a kilt. Apart from one girl who tried to lift the back of his kilt, he didn't seem to be having any problems with wearing a kilt.
Regards,
Rob
