Panache, great images mate. You got the "at home in a kilt vibe" goin on. I must echo Big Paul in that the yellow is not a happning thing bro, it washes you out a bit. Take no offence, the kilts are beautiful and the other ensembles are perfect.
Now I'm a bit keen for a sword tho! Well I've been up for a sword for years but it's whetted the appetite. No pun intended! It's my rapier wit...

I'll second that...When going casual, boots and socks pushed down are the way to go. Personal taste notwithstanding, it's similar to wearing ( and I hate to say it) tuxedo trousers and shoes with a t-shirt.

My wife agrees with you and Pour1Malt, her exact words were along the lines of "The dress shoes don't work with the t-shirt and for that matter your Utilikit. We need to get you some manly / Doc Marten type shoes."

So she took me out Sunday and bought me a pair of black engineer/hiking boots! I love my wife

Ozmeath, on the downside that yellow t-shirt is one of the favorites of the aforementioned beloved wife. You win some and lose some I guess.

    Cheers
