    Smile Dad is proud!

Sebastian received his first kilt on Saturday. Bought it from TheScotland Kilt company over e-bay. A very nice kilt for the price, with leather buckles and straps to hang it up by. Unfortunately, the picture of the kilt on e-bay does not do the kilt justice - it is sooo much nicer in real life.
    1) I was not allowed to press the pleats before he had to try it on 2) a little on the long side, but a belt should take care of that.
I don't mind 1) and 2) - I am mighty proud of him! The kilt is 100% his idea - as is the selection of tartan, sporran and kilt pin

If it's too long, you can always put a simple hem on it that can be let out again as he grows.

    Well done!

    Porrick,

Simply a fantastic picture; my grandson is about your son's age and has been wanting a kilt, also. I shall have to check out Scotland Kilt.

    Well done.

Great pics. I've got kids and I can tell you - that kilt won't be too long, soon.

    That is really great.

Any chance that your son can talk my seventeen year old into letting me buy him a kilt? They're so gung-ho for any good idea when they're your boy's age but when they get into the sullen teen age years they get so uncooperative....enjoy the time.

Looks great. No wonder you are proud.

Do you have a link to the shop you got the kilt from? My son has outgrown his first kilt and I had hoped to get him a new one for his 5th birthday (tomorrow). Unfortunately the shipping costs at the shop I was planning to go through really turned me off. I looks like you got a good kilt for your son, with room to grow.

    Porrick,

Great picture! My son Sinbad* (who is almost 6) loved it and wants a kilt for his birthday.
