Derek, good pics. My favorite look is the middle one with the olive green hose.

All the combos look good, but I personally like the last one.

Very nice Derek. I like all the combo's but I agree with Rob that my fav is with the green shirt and hose. I need to find a tartan with the yellow in it that your Cilt has.

Derek,
Nice pics. I like all 3 combos, but the third is my favorite. Since the oatmeal hose are neutral, it draws the eyes to the kilt and the shirt. I looks like your flashes are the same tartan as your kilt which is good. In the third combination, you might also consider some navy blue flashes to match closely with the blue shirt.

Derek,
I am assuming the shirt in photos 1 and 3 is charcoal grey. If that is so, then the lovat blue hose in photo 1 is not such a good idea as you've nothing else to take up that colour! Charcoal grey hose would look really good.
Photo 2: I like this combination but the olive/khaki hose is a little too dark for that shirt. I'd swap them for the oatmeal hose - or find a darker olive shirt!
Of the three images, I prefer Photo 3. The visual balance is about spot-on.
On the whole, you cannot go wrong with Oatmeal hose. It goes well with virtually any tartan and can be worn with black or brown accessories.

Great pics, the third is by far the best in my humble opinion.

Thankyou all for your input. I prefer the third picture myself out of em all. It was just an experiment all around. Ham, you right with the colour of the shirt. I have to go with Elaine to an awards ceremony in a posh hotel on Fri eve .. dinner jacket type touch .. I do have some brown brogues that I bought about 25yrs ago somewhere. Will have to dig them out and post a piccy of what I hope to wear. If I can't meet the standard, I'll have to wear trousers . Thats not my wife saying that, thats me by the way.
