Don't those screw heads cause wear to your kilt? I really like the braid.

I hadn't thought about that. I haven't noticed any, but I usually have it over my belt. I suppose I could turn it over; the other side of the screw is smooth.

Duct tape bad. Gaff tape good. Expensive, but so much better.

Lasts forever, can be peeled off, holds paint, comes in colors, etc.

It'll be simpler to just flip the screws over; they're in the back, and are the same color as the belt, so no-one's going to notice.

It's a huge page but it has the instructions for a four strand braid on it.Six strands, justcontinue the same process. You could also start with a loop and finish with a turks head knot. I make necklace like this and I can see why it wouldn't work as a belt. It's not adjustable tho.
