Not when you hold them up. they only look that way when worn on the hips so the belly pushes down the front, or, on a skinny person, if they're so loose as to hang up on the back and dip in the front - just like pants will.

I've always gotten the same impression but I think that may be because when most guys wear the UKs the waist is higher on the back than in the front. The kilt waist plunges beneath the belly yet rises up to the top of the posterior. Since UKs are short anyway, that leads to less coverage for your gentleman when you sit down. That of course isn't the case for a traditional kilt worn in the proper manner since it is a horizontal kilt waist above or on the belly.

From a purely health standpoint, assuming you're clean and tidy... a little touching shouldn't be a huge problem. But do folks a favor and please double check you're not leaving anything behind, stray hairs, condensation, etc...

It's like at the gym- check your equipment (in this case, where your equipment was) before you move on!

I think the lads are more worried about what they'll pick up, not what they might leave behind.

I wonder if CSI could use it to prove we were there, like fingerprints.

True enough, I was just pointing out the other end of the stick, delicately as I could.

    Edit- NO pun intended!

But the guys I have seen this with don't need a beer gut cut. What Iolaus says makes sense. It must be the way it is worn (hips) that throws off the look.

But that's what the BGC is for. Either your gut pushes the front down or your butt causes the back to ride up. BGC makes the front a little longer so the hem is still paralel to the ground.

But if the front is lower than the back, wouldn't the back need to be longer than the front to make the hem parallel to the ground?

I meant to say shorter in the front, typing got ahead of my brain.
