Great photos. A man wearing a kilt in Turkey! Who knew? FYI, your kilt is a little off center but otherwise looks great. Thanks for sharing.

Hmm, Ambassador of the kilt. I kinda like the ring of that. Gonna have to get way more kilts though!

Great photos. Now I want to go to Istanbul.

Rex, it's a city definately worth going to! I was just thinking how great it was yesterday when withing a quarter mile radius you can see the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, and the Topkapi Palace with the Harem quarters, and then go to THE Grand Bazaar. Love that city.
By the way, that moustache in the new avatar pic is awesome! I have always wanted a nice 'curled' moustache, but my bristle hair is straight and has no plans of cooperating with any attempts at styling.

LOCAL KIDS! None of my own yet.

Rigged, that's a complement coming from a man that just posted a picture of himself in an amazing leather kilt! Seriously, thanks. I do feel priviledged to be doing what I'm doing.

The pictures were indeed fun, but the laughs, stares, and open mocking I received much of the rest of the day were tiresome at times. I almost changed for the bus ride because I didn't want to deal with it anymore. Then I almost didn't get off the bus to use the restroom to avoid more attention, but I had to go. All in all I'm glad I stuck it out. I now know what to expect (here) and will wear it out again for sure. However, not on the bus, simply because it's hard to get the pleats smoothed out and to keep them smooth for 6 hours while sitting in a bus.
Ok, that's the end of the replies. It was just easier to address the comments one-by-one. More Istanbul pics to come when I get my friend's off of her camera.
