I have two in wooland camo--a UK original and a Sportkilt Boulder. The SK is lighter in the sense it has less yardage in the kilt, but the UK is made of a rip-stop type material that is very like the utilities that were part of the Vietnam-era style.

It is that Vietnam connection that attracted me to the woodland camo; it feels almost like a "clan tartan" for Vietnam veterans. This feeling is also what holds me back from getting one in one of the desert or other modern patterns, as I don't feel that I "rate" them, not being part of the "warrior clan" that is wearing them now.
