    Good luck.

There'd be more incentive if all the losers paid $50 to the who loses the most; the way you've got it set up, someone only has to stay ahead of one other person, so the slowest loss controls the competition, and one person takes all the pain of losing. My way, the pain of losing is spread out to everyone, so everyone tries harder. Also, the winning pot is sweeter.

Yeah, but we're all poor anyway. I'm not even going to make the loser pay me, though I wont tell them that until the competition is over.

I'll lose my weight regardless, because I dont cheat. Their hope is that will help them stick to their guns as well.

I look at chips as a vehicle to scoop in the salsa, but since I went through three small bowls of salsa...

They had a new margarita that I had to try - had two of 'em...

At least I stayed away from the stack of tortillas, and the rice and beans.

Bottom line: I had dropped to 223 at one point during the week, but as of this morning, I've back-tracked to 225. I'll do better this week.
Well, that was last week; this week I'm back down to that 223. The good news is that I've been fitting into my size 36 shorts again - six weeks ago, I couldn't get the button within 2" of the button hole! Good thing my kilts have a lot of leeway. My UKs were mostly bought at the lower end of my swing last time, so more of them are getting close to fitting now (still got a ways to go for that 36" workman though). Haven't tried the pants yet; what the point? we're in the 70's & 80's now!

you still own pants? I'm in the process of descreetly "loosing" mine. will be real hard for someone to say "why don't you just wear pants" when you don't have any!

oh, congrats on your continuing success!

good luck with the diet. I am looking forward to going on the Thailand diet again. this consists of sweating all day every day, getting food poisoning at least once, actually starting to exercise again (Ultimate Frisbee my true passion), and eating healthy thai food.

I just can't do it here in Turkey and I'm up at least 20 pounds from where I was when I left Thailand.

Boy, am I late for this thread....

I'm 252 now and seems like a couple weeks ago I was only 238 and losing.

My life's been a yo-yo of dieting and regaining....

Getting to be summer and a bunch of my kilts don't fit anymore. Other's are on the last strap hole and tight....time to either keep my mouth closed more or move around more...

Used to be a skinny kid in college....how'd I get obese?

hmm...not sure but have you ever worked a desk job? I went from a svelt 180 to over 230 because I work a desk job with computers. Add an on-call rotation or two, and you are surely in for some weight gain.

oh, did I mention that most office food barely meets FDA guidelines for human consumption? Donuts and coffee does not a thin man make.

I went from a muscular 205, running FedEx Ground deliveries all day, to a "healthy" 235-40 lb. student, sitting on my butt all day.

I went from a solid 175 (back when i was a fitness instructor) to a scrawny 165 (total stress out month when prepping for a major move) up to a 215 after several years of eating badly and not excercising nearly enough. Now i am hovering at the 200 mark - wanna get back to the 185/190 area and come hell or high water will do so by the end of summer!!!

now where did thoise krispy kremes go...???
