    SWK Weathered Lamont review

I received my Weathered Lamont HW from SWK yesterday and I am very impressed. First, because Jerry has again blown away all expectations for delivery. It was from Jerry's closeout/blemish rack, so I asked him to invoice me for it on Thursday evening. Got the invoice and paid through PayPal on Friday morning. It was on a truck and arrived her on Monday afternoon. Absolutely unbelievable. I figured Tuesday at the earliest,

Anyway, I was not sure of the colors based on the web pictures I had seen, but the price was right and I do like earth tones/colors. It is a 13oz. wool and is only my second wool kilt. Given the weight on this thing, I can't imagine strapping a 16oz. 8 yard kilt around my waist! I would need a cane to keep myself upright.

The material is very nice, and the colors are fabulous. Pics on this thread

The pleating is well done, straps are good quality and the length is perfect for me. I am wearing it right now with the large nylon sporran I also got off the clearance rack. Neither the kilt or the sporran have any blemishes that I can find. I really like the sporran as well. Nice and roomy. And Ron, it is 8" tall, about 7.5" wide, and main compartment expands out to 2". I can reach both hands into it with no problem, plus it has 2 additional compartments on the front. A small zippered section on the flap, great for coins, and a larger, gusseted pouch under the flap that would expand to hold quite a bit.

    KCW,

Good review and pictures. I like the pink and purple backpack you chose to go with your new kilt.

It looks to me like that tartan would go really well with a brown belt and sporran.

    Cheers

Panache, you are correct. I just don't have a good wide brown belt right now. Also, I wanted to try out the SWK nylon sporran, and so went with the black accessories.
