I've seen that episode (with my kids). It always bothers me when people don't do their research. If only there was some sort of vast library of knowledge out there, something easily excessible from some sort of 'computer'. Maybe some day.

I think we can worry too much-think here of the famous SCOTTISH comedian Harry Lauder-and his parody of the way a highlander would dress.

Certainly we will earn more respect when we can laugh at ourselves.

Too though it is not a show I can watch being here in The UK-compare it with the adul comedies where say service uniforms are being parodied-we laugh at them.

Or what about the Carry On Up The Khyber film of some years ago?

Overexposed has this in his signature line:

Don't buy UTILIKILTS because of their idiotic change to their "Rule #6". Read it for yourself!http://www.utilikilts.com/newslette...6-05/index.html!http://www.utilikilts.com/newsletters/2006-05/guns.html

I don't know if I would boycot them, but I sure have spoken to them about it. It is asinine at best.

    Sorry, I forgot myself.

With regard to that silly costume it has ocurred to me that wearing it backwards might have been deliberate. It is quite possible. Nay, it is likely a calculated parody.

My other remark and this one are opposite ends of the same stick. On the one hand we have either an ignorant lout or a deliberately offensive fool. On the other we have 'sensitivity' carried to ridiculous extremes.

Went to the site for "Hi-5" to send an email but no luck. Just hope it was a goofy clip and not making fun of Scots in general. I might be taking it too far but I hope we are beyond stereotypes by now. It is 2006, right? Just a thought.
