The first time I saw a picture of that horrid statue I thought it was a styrofoam publicity stunt for the movie. Only later did I find out that it was actually a truly misguided modern addition.

Historical or not, accurated or not, traditional or not, and even with all the stereotypes that are shown on the film, ... guys, u must all agree that WE ALL ENJOYED IT!!!! and of course, for many of us living far from Alba it was a whole discovery that flamed even more our hearts for that wanderful land!

as fur the auction... ai dinnae ken... ai hae no heard aboot it....
ai hae heard it gets vandalized by locals oan a regular basis though.... :rolleyes:
