I'll see if I can't put one together this weekend. I've oft seen mention of these, but have yet to see any examples.

I remember this topic well, having sent Hank images of the one I came up with last summer (August '05):

    front of card

    back of card

I sent him my file back then as well.

I like the front of yours, but if you put all that text on the back of a standard business card, can you actually read it?

Here's mine - just intended for the front of a card.

Someone else posted how to set the XMarks tartan as a background for the cards - that looked pretty cool!

    Iolaus,

I don't know if you if you remember, but reading your suggestion was what led me to my design. As for the back of the card, using that font (8 pt. Abadi MT Condensed, 10 pt. on the front) should be fine for readability; however, maybe a better idea would be to use the Xmarks tartan on the back instead:

What do you think? (I know, the pic makes it look like there's a 'hole' in this post)

Because of the darkness of the tartan? It was done as a "watermark", so the colors were there, but washed out to a light blue. I tried to do it, but I seem to recall having problems making it light enough; his looked good though.

Make it a seperate layer, put it behind the text and turn the transparency down till it looks good.
