Not every region of the US has the same predilection for "cowboy hats". I live in a town of 160 thousand souls. Not a Houston by any means. At the local coop yearly meetings about three thousand attend. Out of that number I can point out an easy 500 with some sort of "cowboy hat". You can tell by the looks of those hats that they're not wearing em for special occasions. I can't tell you the number of pickup trucks I pass on the highway with a "cowboy hat" on the dashboard. If you see more kilts in Scotland than you see "cowboy hats" in the US, it's because your in the wrong state.
