A sporran does not a kilt make. Oh, and no, I've never had that! It's true!
I was very fond of that 'standard' style and regret its passing. Here's a photo of my first Utilikilt (November 2000). It has faded over the years but it is a Caramel Workman's model and is in the 'standard' style:

This kilt is now archived in my Kilt Kollection and was replaced a year ago by a current Caramel Workman's UK. I have four 'standard' UKs and seven 'Neo-Trads', and there is absolutely no way I would wear a sporran with any of them.
