I have a skunk mask sporran - the head is the flap, and the tail makes the one tassel.
It's made from one full hide, folded over mid-body so the forepaw flaps and the hindpaw flaps meet, then stitched to make the pouch, turned inside out to hide the stitches.
It actually looks pretty good, but I wish I'd found eyes for it.
I'd originally made it to go with the black leather and silver fittings of one of my dress dirks.
