Dave-If you come down this far we can rideshare to Alexandria (wife's car folds up fits in sporran), pm for my cell #.
There are actually 2 Murphy's. The big one is in Alexandria and there's also one in Woodley Park. The advantage to the one in DC is that it's got metro access.

We (spouse and friend & I) will be at the Royal Mile Pub on Thursday May 4, 2006 from about 6:30pm (unless I get home sooner) until 9:00pm. There is some kind of scotch tasting night.

I think Metro access is crtical to make it easy for everyone to access. Just please don't make it next weekend because I'll be in Puerto Rico again and I really want to go.

The next two weekends are out for me. I'll be cruising to Bermuda.

The weekend of the 19th of May is out for me because that's when we'll be moving into our new handicapped accessible home!

Ok folks, lets get serious here.
I'm not really one to venture downtown on a weekend night but I have another suggestion -- how about a kilted afternoon. We could meet at any of the above venues around 4 or 5 ish on a Saturday or Sunday and do the early evening Happy Hour kind of thing. That would allow everyone to meet, have a good time and still get home in time to sleep for anything that had to be done early the next day.
Any takers?

That sounds like a nice idea. I wouldn't suggest either of the next two weekends because this Saturday is the Frederick Celtic Festival and next weekend is my move weekend so I'll be spending Saturday unpacking boxes.
But I rather like the idea of an afternoon get together as well. Perhaps we could all meet for dinner & drinks or something.

NEVER make plans for Mother's day unless it is with the Queen in mind. When the Queen isn't happy, the King isn't happy. I know. Still married after almost 21 yrs.

Actually, I would much prefer an afternoon meeting. I'm okay for most weekends.
