It's a shame that the glasses obscure the eyes, there is always something about seeing someone's eyes that makes a face more approachable, in a sense not having anything to hide, making the whole appearance more friendly.

I would almost switch the images. Use the picture of yourself as the back of the CD cover. The front will than be the church yet will be a bit more simplified and leave room for a title. Having the photo of yourself in the back is like the author bio for a book. The credits always go in the back, and the photo of yourself is an intro and a credit to the music.

    Just my two bits.

I agree with Colin. Great pics non the less, and congrats on recording a solo CD, very cool.

Nice looking pics, and I will agree that the second picture would be a great way to get people to pick up the CD and then turn it over to see who made it. Of course, usually on the back of a CD case is the listing of songs and credits, so that might not work either.

But the picture of Derek is a bit narrower, leaving room for a little black box on the other side to list the songs, credits, etc on.

    Hi Derek,

Pics are great and the church is really wonderful; can you give any history on it?

    Good luck with the cd.

    Bob
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.
