I thought about that and decided that I didn't want to try too hard to turn this jacket into something it wasn't. If I had the cuffs altered (assuming there was enough material) then I would have to change the buttons. After I changed the buttons then I would have to have the waist altered to have it be more fitted. After all that I wondered, would it then be a perfect tweed argyle jacket? Or would it be almost, but not quite right. I thought that the epaulets and flaps gave it a good kilt jacket look without going too far from the simple lines of the jacket itself. Maybe if I had ever seen a tweed argyle
in person I might have tried. But I'm happy the way it is.

    Cheers

Panache, I have met Mr.Nader. He seemed a very pleasant man and I'm going to take a jacket I found for 15 bucks at Goodwill. Conversion to an Argyll or Brian Boru.

    Michael,

Hope to see you wearing it at one of the kilt nights! Do post a picture of it if you can. Pretty soon Mr. Nader will be a kilt jacket conversion expert.

    Cheers
