Oh, he knows. He's seen me in kilts on a regular basis for some time now; he just likes to give me (and everyone else) a good-natured hard time. My kilts just give him an easy target; it wasn't the first time.
Don't get me wrong; I really like the guy, I wouldn't be in my third semester with him if I found him annoying.

I had something similar happen the other day in the line for coffee. It's always a kick when something like this happens.

oh yeah, I gathered that from the post. What I meant was did he explain to the other students that he was just messing with you, or did he just let that go?

I think it was obvious that he was just messing around, but yes, he did follow up with a comment about "gotta respect a guy that will wear a kilt..." The whole thing turned into a thirty second discussion about kilts - who wears them, what they can cost...
You gotta understand - this guy's a character; he'll joke around with anyone, about anything. He keeps a very good rapport going with his classes. My first post was more about the reaction of the girls around me than his initial comment.
