"Culloden" re-enactment event

A 260th anniversary Culloden re-enactment and "living history" event will take place next weekend (20-21 May) at Fort Loudoun Historic Site, Ft.Loudoun, PA. On hand will be recreated Jacobite and Hanoverian troops and civilians of the 1745 Rebellion period. On-going displays, demonstrations, and a battle each afternoon. The site will be open to the public 10:00am to 5:00pm each day.

Good for you. History should be kept alive to keep the rest of us idiots from repeating the same mistakes again. er....you knew there was a but coming....

I don't think I could possibly attend that one. My family seems to have managed to not be too involved in the US War Between the States other than some periphiral damage but Culloden is another story. Whether involved directly or not I don't know but that has been a bitter pill for generations. ( I don't even know what side my family was on) I do know that I can't watch that.
