Just a reminder, but in a matter of hours (around 8:00 PM PST) myself and several kilted friends will be at Gallaghers in Huntington Beach to celebrate my birthday (last week, May 7th). American Wake will be playing.

Parents are in town (with me) and too much homework to skip out on. Have fun though. Make sure you prepare for the Guinness shooter.

"Make sure you prepare for the Guinness shooter. "
Oh yeah. We are going to pre-flight before we leave with some grog, warm up once we are there with some Irish Carbombs, and by then the pints should go down really easy.

So what are you doing posting here? Get down to the Gallaghers in your kilt! Its still plenty early enough to get there for drinks.

I just hung out with a few kilted guys on Friday evening. They hadn't heard of the xmarks forum, but participate in Highland games and were a real fun group. We're trying to set up a kilt night here in San Diego on a monthly basis. So anyone here who would like to attend is welcome.

Gallaghers was fun last night. There were four of us kilted, and our lady friends as well. We had several tables right next to the stage, and American Wake was great as always. They even played several of my requests since they didnt have a set list for the night anyway.
I got up on stage for the Guinness 'shot', and though I didnt finish first it was fun.
The end of the night was slightly ruined by our waitress however, who actually had the temerity to follow us to the parking garage and ask sarcastically if we wanted the rest of our change, because we only left her an $8.00 tip on a $200.00 bill. Well actually, we left her at least $14.00, and she didnt do a hell of lot to earn it, so she can go pound sand as far as I'm concerned.

You should have told her "Oh, I'm sorry did I forget my change? Thank you so much for finally paying attention to us; yes, I do want the rest of it."
