Today we're having our usual May gray. Typically in the spring here it's cloudy in the mornings and evenings with sunny afternoons. Coastal clouds keep us cool.
This is really my favorite time of the year here; the days are getting long and the evenings are cool so I can get out and run without broiling (Ulster Scots-Brazilian blood is always hot). Through Balboa Park into downtown to meet Mrs. Gilmore coming home from work, and we power walk back up the hill home. Very nice.
You lot up in northern California had a wet winter this year. Hopefully things are drying out now. Where are you in NoCal?
Thank you,
Scott Gilmore

Now there's a combination! I'll bet it runs hot!

This week it's been blazing hot in vacaville. Vacaville is part of Solano County. It's right next to Fairfield.

Ah, yes ... "blazing hot" he says. I like a man with a penchant for understatement. I know the neighborhood (I have family just south of you in Lafayette). Gets a wee bit warm, yup.
Still and all, it isn't always hot there, and it's a beautiful part of the world. Mrs. Gilmore and I are contemplating the northern regions for retirement, along with some other parts of the world.
Thank you,
Scott Gilmore

Hey, if you're up here visiting the family in Lafayette (I've got an aunt in Lafayette) and it SO HAPPENS to be the last Friday of the month, come on over to the Peninsula for Bay Area Kilt Night!

Scott,
I used to live in North County. Poway area. Graduated high school there. When summer rolls around here in Texas I sure do miss the lack of humidity and the cool evening fogs. Still have family in Escondido and El Cajon. San Diego is a great place to live....enjoy.

I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the invite.

You know, if they'll let you out of Texas, we'll welcome you back. We need more of you kilt-wearin' types around here.

Well now, I don't have much in the way of fancy pictures, and none of Mrs. Gilmore all be-kilted just yet, but here's what I could find on short notice.

Me at work (no need for a sporran) in my Morrison green tartan 5-yard

A particularly good picture of Carol (not that there are any bad ones - she makes a good picture)
More to follow once I get some film in my digital camera. I promise better quality, too.
Thank you,
Scott Gilmore
