Cool tartan and good blog - brought back memories and there's a lot of truth to the "You know you've been in Iraq too long if:" Almost too much.

    Uh OK, I Think.

On the green tanks, that was us 2-63 Armored Battallion. Our PsyOps guys started a rumor that the "Green" (Actually green/black/brown) tanks were to be avoided at all costs as we were "elite" units from Germany. The few times that the enemy tried to test us in battle, well it was completely one sided. So uh, my bad.

On the tartan, I don't have PTSD (anymore) can I still wear it?

I believe that's PSD standing for Personal Security Detachment. I read it as PTSD the first time too.

Jay, that is one fine looking tartan. Who knows, maybe I'll see you wearing it at the Richmond games this year. I'll be on the lookout for it

Well then, we're good to go. RTO is kind of a combination job - radio guy, protection guy, and sometimes interpreter of Arabic translator's English.

That is one sweet looking tartan. I've a friend who served in desert storm, several fraternity brothers who served in the initial attacks in irak "Shock and Awe" I think it was called, and a friend who will probably be shipped over there in a few months.

I'll have to do some serious financial tapdancing, but I'll try to get a tank in the Operation Iraqi Freedom; PSD tartan. It would be an honor to wear these colors.

PSD/PTSD, what's the difference. Your right about that. after two years here, I feel like a walking looney toons character. Two nights ago, I walked into the common area with my Kilt on and yelled, "GOD WILLS IT", I think my commander wants to send me home. Actually there were two female Majors visiting, and the Airforce one had asked me to wear my kilt to the after operation get together. So I did. I will try and have Tara put some photos on the blog.
