I do have two questions, though:
1) My Mom first kilted me when I was around 12, and had me wear GBs. To this day I cannot stand the GB laces up around my calves. For formal wear, I usually wear a pair of black tassled wing-tip slip ons with either black or white dress hose. Is this acceptable? Nobody has ever said anything to the contrary, but please don't make me wear GBs again.
2) I wear a ballcap all the time with a kilt if I am out in the sun, or just knocking around in a casual, especially at highland games. Am I evil? I didn't realize that ballcaps with kilts were frowned on.
Thanks!
Wee Barky- dinnae wear a bloody basebaw cap wi yur kilt...

A tie worn with the kilt should be one of these:... a school tie (stripes), or solid black or grey depending on the color of the jacket or waistcoat.
Striped ties that are NOT school colors should be avoided...
In the UK, regimental or club striped ties are acceptable along with old school ties.

Chris.
Hey, when you reach Sir Sean's level of celebrity you're allowed to expand the rules a bit. Heck when you reach his level, you're allowed to create NEW rules.

Ok, we've learned about other slang. Can I get a definition of numpty? Aparently I am one since I am usually in a ball cap and kilt (at least UK - rarely with a tartan).
