Is there any convention for tucking in your shirt?

I know there are thought on sporrans, hose, and the like. However, I haven't come across anything about tucking the shirt in or not. I'm assuming it's up to the wearer, but what are your thought?
I think personally that the shirt should always be tucked in (besides you then show off your kilt belt and sporran).
