I've made 3 orders to them (because I'm in Turkey and they deliver here free) and I've been pleased with most everything I've gotten. The buckle is great.

Looks good. I also wear a MacDonald Modern. Depending on the occassion I wear cream hose with an appropriate shirt and jacket or I wear Forest green hose with a matching Fisherman's sweater. I think I found the green hose on e-bay for about $12.

I think they look fine too. I was just addressing the opinion that the hose should match the shirt that is largely held here on the forum (or at least it seems that way). I've just stuck with cream so far because they go with everything.

For everyday wear, don't worry too much about matching hose colour with shirt colour - if you can find a perfect match, it's fine - but rather than cream hose (which is rather 'formal'), I'd recommend going for oatmeal, which really does go with everything!

That is a fine tartan, and one that takes me back to 'Monarch of the Glen'!!

Thanks Hamish, I'll keep that in mind when I purchase my next hose.
