Is this why KISS wore make-up?
Do they really look like that on stage? ...another example of allowing "the look" to overtake the music.

OK I watched the video; I'm not impressed. They look like Klingons who went to a horror film make-up artist, and then stole KISS's wardrobe hand-me-downs.
...and apparently the "singer" can't sing.
Sorry if ya'll like that, but I just don't get it.

hahaha... congrats Ackwell!!!
I can understand Iolaus comments, but considering the level of the other competitors (better not to talk about Spain ) I am happy that they won. That massive vote was an attention touch for everybody regarding how this contest must move for if they want to make of it something interesting.
once again,... conratulations!
¡Salud!

Hehe, the band met at KISS fan cruise. The lead singer is the chairman of Finnish KISS fanclub "The KISS Army". And some of their lyrics read "Solo (Bruce Kulick)". And even Bruce himslef told they rock. You remember, KISS mania turned downward spiral when they removed their masks.
Hard Rock never been only music, it is also the show...
And Mr. Lordi himself said: "Some say that horror is a sub-genre of comedy. I believe this is true. It’s not humorous, we’re not meant to burst out laughing, but it’s fun and entertainment. It’s the same thing with riding a roller coaster over and over again. Some people would never do it. For others, it’s fun."

GWAR is an experience like you've never had before.

I remember having dreadlocks of this flour and water mix, along with other assorted stuff, in my hair (long. Halfway to my butt at the time) after the show in 1989. I was drenched in sweat and other fluids, since I was on the front row. Awesome show!

Well. I checked YouTube for GWAR. Totally lost the melody. Couldn't understand a single word. And they surely doesn't seem to have as cool stage performance than Lordi. They actually literally have set the stage on fire twice with their massive pyrotechnics. The best live band I've seen so far. And I really like melodic hard rock. If you liked KISS back then you should like Lordi too. ;) And they're music videos are really top quality, the performer of Mr. Lordi studied in the theater school. The band is just pure fun! And nowthey are also international superstars. At least in Europe! Check the videos!
