I'll second that. I wear one all the time for SCA and its find if you dont -depend- on it to keep something up. Like your kilt. It slowly works loose and you have to tighten it regularly. This is fine if it just has a pouch and maybe a tankard on it, but not so good when it is holding your plaid closed and up. Super easy to make though.

That's a great example of why they nicknamed him Bullfrog.

Daz, have you ever been to the Sheriffmuir Inn? Venison steak pie to die for, trust me.

Here are a couple of images from that same night as the video. As KCW mentioned, Jamesie had pulled his dirk during one of the songs he performed (Claymores, perhaps??) at G-burg. Well, in Alba, it's not so unusual to see a LOT of the sharp, pointy objects being brandished. And note the low ceiling.

At the Kings House Hotel, there are obvious scars in the ceiling from the odd pointy thing or two being brandished.

I have been Mike, many moons ago, I need to get south more, Im planning a trip south to North Berwick in August, so I will try and catch the band in action. Ill check the website for a gig list, Im thinking of forming a pipe and drums band myself just as a summer project along similar lines, there are a few bands of that Genre, theres a good one called clan Wallace I saw at the Edingurgh festival a couple of years ago, I dont know if they are still going. one i would reccomend is abnd called "crackerjock" Scots based in Yorkshire, the singers daughter is a fiddle player of extraordinary ability she studied ot London college of music as well as being extremly easy on the eye!.

The pic of the guy in the feather bonnet is a drum major, not a pipe major (sorry to be a pedant)
