I always mention X Marks and all the great people here as a source of information. Then the links on this forum. I did have another thought and I could say that I might share my kilts with her,but that I go with them

    Guys...

Why are you so sure she's asking for herself? Prhaps she wants to get one as a treat for a fella in her life. I asked a couple guys where they got their kilts in just such a manner- it's how I ended up finding my husband's Amerikilt.

That being said, I do wear occasionally men's kilts and look just fine in them, I guess I have bizarre hip and waist sizes or something.

(And yes, there are pictures of my new Sportkilt skirt, as soon as the (&#&*% camera cooperates I'll post them)

To judge by what they write here, these guys are forever hopeful.

I think that whilst men have a fairly standard sort of outline, altered mostly by being thinner or fatter than the avarage, women are far more variable.

On me normal knife pleats can't cope with the gradients - not on the right side, so I mirror image the left side and put in an inverted box pleat centre back. I then get a smooth outline even without sewing down the fell, rather than the pleats doing a good imitation of waves over rocks.
