Yesterday, I was presented a letter from the Two Star by his Major. I attended the award ceremony kilted. The local Iraqi's know me, and they recognize me as both a doctor and a warrior. (paramedic for us in the rest of the world, but anyone with any medical or pack of immodium in Baghdad is referred to as Doctor) My reasons for wearing the kilt started off much differently though. I swim upstream. My own drum beat kind of thing. I wore my first kilt at a Highland festival in 2002, and liked it a great deal. Shortly after that I started wearing it more frequently and the reactions were more positive. So now I wear my kilts most of the time. And yes, I will post photos of me receiving my letter from the General.
