A few years ago, my ex came down with some testicular infection. His physician prescribed a powerful antibiotic normally used to treat infections in the brain. Because of the physiology of the brain, ordinary antibiotics are often ineffective in treating infections that occur there. The doctor said that the tissue that makes up the testes is remarkably similar to brain tissue.
This, I thought, explained a lot of things.
