A favor

I was wondering if I couple people could do me a favor and post pictures of themselves wearing their balmorals. It's also helpful if you have long hair so I can make a more accurate assumption of how I would look in one.

Josh, I would love to do you a favor, but 2 things prohibit me:

1. lack of a balmoral
2. lack of long hair!

I'll tell you what, you post a picture of yourself, in the outfit you are planning on wearing, and I will photoshop a balmoral on to it and post it back to you!

Two things prohibit me from doing that:
1. I have no camera
2. I hate the way I look in pictures

Also it doesn't matter if you have long hair or not but it's a nice little plus for me.

It's a side view, but...

Pic was taken in September of last year. Hair's now about 6" longer. Can now grab the ends from behind my back if I tilt my head back a little.

I got a Lovat Green Balmoral a few months ago and personally I like it.

I'm around a lot of Army soldiers that wear the Black Beret, but I sure would not want to go through all the hassle they have to "shape and shave" it to their head. The Balmoral is very comfortable.

One drawback to the Balmoral is tying the ribbon in back into a bow. Someone suggested tying it and then sewing it in place. I'll probably do that. Pics are at the link below.

The cap badge is from the British Royal Engineers, worn to honor colleagues in that service (I was US Army Corps of Engineers on Active Duty years ago)

Can't show it with long hair. I like it short, what there is of it!
