    I think the best word to describe it is already in use referring to Lions, but we can use it for kilts as well...

    My grandfather always just used "kilties". I prefer "Ladies from Hell" but he was there so I guess he ought to know.


    And he would use both ways: for troops; with a slightly different tone, for "Texan tourists" on High street. (To him, every unidentified American tourist was from Texas.)

    I was gonna suggest that P1M's "rabble" would be about the best term...I see that I'm not alone in that opinion.
