Next time you might wave some kitty dinner and hold it behind your back in the vague hope of getting two apparently adoring moggies gazing up at you with rapt attention.

Though of course you might also get two indignant poosii clawing their way upwards towards the food -

Maybe indifferent cats would be the best option after all.

Well, that work day is done. A very hot day to weld in, broke heat records. Sounds like things are still going well for me, I'll know the results tomorrow. Afternoon shift still has to vote. I'll not jinx it by saying any more about it.

Nice pics. Besides the kilt showing recognition of different cultures, I think it also demonstrates that the person wearing it is confident. I know I would want someone representing me who is a confident person, and I think the voters do as well. Good luck in the election.

Thanks for all the nice thoughts, there's going to be a run-off.
Our union democratic structure demands a majority of 51% to win. With seven running that's not likely to happen so the result is that I and another candidate have to run against each other on Monday.

So, now I have to find more pics and come up with a slogan/motto that will define and inspire. But I've spent over an hour on this forum so I best get to work....
