I've got friends that talk that way honestly, and dear friends who talk that way to me. I barely understand the imitation.
If I was trying to repeat their words, I would use that manner in quotations but not in the narrative.
It's a lesson I learned from the talking horse in Gulliver's travels. This dialect thingy only works for me in The Glasgow Bible.
But, hey, nothing's on fire, nothing's bleeding, so no prob (or no fun). Different tastes and all: I just ordered Keef's Wingless Angels for $10 on ebay. Who wouldn't be excited about scoring that?
