    Very nice kilt Moose!

About colours playing tricks...best step outside and take the pictures with natural lighting. Even then funny things happen, but mostly it's much better.

Wouldn't help, I burn calories faster than I take them in. Saves on fabric though.

Here's a bit better pic, shows the colour much better. Again, still needs final press and a couple of nudges. The aprons show the colour best. And no, the pleats aren't shiny, its this bl@@dy camera.

Do you mean Hodden Gray? This has been mentioned before, but I have no idea what Hodden Gray looks like. Can you describe it?

For all intents and purposes, it could be called tan. However, the current incarnation has a purplish/pinkish hue, which some Regimental guys call "salmon". Only the Toronto Scottish and the London Scottish Regiments wear it. These images from the Toronto Scottish. The first is closest in actual colour.

Yep. My Dad has my Grandpa's WWII Hodden Grey kilt, and it is that colour.

Grandpa was 6' 5" with a 32" waist, so there is no way I'll ever fit in it!
