Wow! I was just thinking of practicing jiujistu there. My mom got a bit concerened as its called "combat jiujitsu", she thinks its like combat orienteated street fighting. I just found the website in the Mpls/St. Paul phone book and I looked at it on sunday last week....oh, I gotsa a question...
Is this trad Japanese Jiujitsu or Brazilian Jiujitsu (BJJ)? I was under the impression that Japanese style was standing up and required more strength and that BJJ was a ground grappling style, all the grappling is confusing as they all have similar moves/positions/ Takedowns/ submissions and chokes with different philosphies and variations. I am gonna go to Kali, i like the mix of striking and grappling...but I should check it out sometime this summer. What hours do you train? How about I come kilted?

LOTS of ground grappling. You should check it out if you are not locked in at Kali, you can try a class for free. combat-jujitsu.com
