What a nice looking wedding party. For how many of the men was this the first time to wear a kilt, and what did any of them have to say about the experience?
Congratulations! A wedding is one of lifes milestones and the smiles all around in your picture show it! It is such a special day and your choice of attire has made it even more so. Very sharp indeed!

Congratulations to all,

Only two hadn't worn a kilt before; the grooms father and one of the groomsmen. Not sure of their reactions, but I helped Mike show them all the proper way to wear the kilt on Friday night and they all wore it at ease. The best man and one groomsman have kilts, but they were "ren faire" kilts that weren't done all that well by the maker and we rented theirs. At the reception, the only thing my one son complained about was this stupid collar is to stiff and giving me a rash. The jackets came off, but my sons are quite comfortable in the kilt. Once we get some of the professional shots in, I can post a really good one of everybody. The photographer was facinated with our Skain Dhus. He had to take a picture of mine and one of the grooms. He even wanted to know the correct name of the "knife thing in you socks".
If they outlaw guns, can we go back to using swords?
Here's another shot of the bridal party. The groomsman on the end is the only one that had never worn a kilt (excepting the ringbearer and getting him dressed up was an accomplishemnt). Although he teases Mike (my son-in-law) about the kilts, I think he was comfortable in it.
